About Us
Doors open at 9pm on the first Saturday of every month, with entry just £6 all night! The Dot Cotton Club has been a staple of the LGBTQ+ scene in Cambridge for over 25 years, seeing 1000s of happy clubbers dance and drink the night away, originally at The Junction and Nusha bar, then Q-Club/Atomic and now our new home - The Union Cellar Bar at The Orator, Cambridge!
Our aim is to ensure that locals, students and visitors to the city, of all genders and sexualities have a safe, fun venue to meet and enjoy.
The music policy is pop, dance, remixes, mashups, cheese and R&B but we will play almost anything that gets people on their feet!
We have plenty of seated areas, sofas and tables, full bar, a variety of bottled beers, spirits and cider, and more lights & lasers than you can shake a pink fluffy stick at!
If you're visiting the city and don't want to worry about how to get home at the end of the night, there are plenty of hotels nearby to cover all budgets, so there's no excuse not to keep partying until the lights come up.

DOT's DUNGEON OF DOOM
Something spooky's in the cellars!
Cambridge's longest running LGBTQ+ night, Dot Cotton Club, welcomes you to the annual Hallow-Queen celebration, complete with fabulous drag performances from Aria the Kween and Just Molly. This is an EXTRA event for the month, our regular nights on October 1st and November 5th will go ahead as usual.
Costumes and makeup aren't mandatory, but very much encouraged, so go on, give them pumpkin to talk about! For all lost souls who pre-book tickets here, a bloody vodka jelly will be available at the front door, with drinks offers at the bar, while the graveyard dancefloor will be full of the best pop, dance and R&B, with plenty of classic cheese and Halloween tunes to keep you singing and dancing 'til late.
We don't want to see any restin' witch face if you find you've missed out on tickets, so grab them now!

Rose cotton's cocktail klatch @the Lab, regent street
After a great launch event in March, come along to our second cocktail klatch! If you're looking for a chilled, fun and free LGBTQ+ social event to break up the week, you'll find us at The Lab on Regent Street having an after work drink and a catchup
Consider this Dot Cotton's younger sister, Rose Cotton's Cocktail 'Klatch' (an informal gathering, derived from the German word for gossip!) Hosted at one of the city's best cocktails bars, there is a huge selection of boozy and alcohol free drinks served until midnight in lush surroundings, with a tapas selection available if you get peckish.
This isn't Dot Cotton Club, so you won't need to dodge lasers or shout over the music, but sometimes it IS nice to be able to hear what your friends are saying.... See you soon!
